How it works
From PDF to signed copy in four steps
1. Upload your PDF
Start from any finished PDF: a contract, an agreement, or a form.
2. Place the fields
Put signature, date, name, and title fields where each signer needs them.
3. Send it
Each signer gets a private link by email when it is their turn. They sign in the browser, with no account and nothing to install.
4. Everyone gets the signed copy
When the last person signs, everyone receives the signed PDF with a certificate of completion attached.

Built to prove who signed
Certificate of completion
Every signed copy ends with a certificate listing each signer, when and how they signed, their IP address, and the document’s SHA-256 fingerprints.
Zero retention
Once everyone has signed, True Autograph emails them the signed PDF, then deletes the document, the signatures, and any mapped data. Anyone holding a copy can confirm it is genuine on the public verify page.
Signers in order
Send one request to several signers who sign in order, together, or a mix of both. Each person is emailed when it is their turn.

Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The Starter plan costs nothing and needs no credit card. It includes 3 requests a month to other people, unlimited signing of your own PDFs, and the Salesforce and HubSpot apps, which are in beta. It is a plan, not a trial, so it does not run out.
What counts as a request?
One document sent out for signature, however many people sign it. It counts once when you send it.
What happens after my free requests?
On Starter you can send again next month, and you can keep signing your own PDFs. If you need more now, Pro includes 50 requests a month for your whole account and never blocks a send: extra requests are billed per request.
Do my signers need an account?
No. Signers open a private link from their email and sign in the browser.
Are free e-signatures legally binding?
Electronic signatures are recognized in the United States under the federal ESIGN Act and the state laws based on UETA, on any plan. Every True Autograph request ends with a certificate of completion that records who signed, when, and from what IP address.
