Questions
Frequently asked questions
Which plans include the CRM apps?
Both are on every plan, Starter included. Requests sent from either app count toward your monthly requests like any other.
Do signers need a Salesforce, HubSpot, or True Autograph account?
No. Signers get a private link by email and sign in the browser, on a computer or a phone.
Which records can I send from?
In Salesforce: Accounts, Contacts, Leads, and Opportunities, with the timeline and related list on those four. In HubSpot: contacts, companies, and deals.
How quickly do records update?
Within seconds, in both. True Autograph writes each step to the record as it happens. If the CRM is briefly unavailable, it keeps trying, so nothing is missed.
Will it overwrite my CRM data?
Only the fields you map, and only once, when a request completes. Nothing is mapped until you choose it, and a blank field value never clears a field.
Where is the signed PDF kept?
In your email and in your CRM, not with us. True Autograph has zero retention: when everyone has signed, it emails the signed PDF to all of them and saves a copy to your CRM record, then deletes the document, the signatures, and any mapped data. The CRM copy is checked against the fingerprint recorded when the last person signed, so it is the exact file the signers received. If the CRM can't be reached for three days, True Autograph deletes the document anyway, and the copy stays in everyone's email.
Who can send from the CRM?
In Salesforce, people your admin gives the True Autograph User permission set. In HubSpot, anyone who can open the record in the connected HubSpot account can use the card and send from your workspace's templates.
How do I disconnect?
In True Autograph Settings, click Disconnect on the HubSpot or Salesforce card. What is already saved stays on your records. For Salesforce, you can also uninstall the package under Installed Packages in Setup.
